Charles Leclerc is a Monégasque driver, born in Monte Carlo, who rose through the Ferrari Driver Academy by winning the GP3 Series in 2016 and the Formula 2 title as a rookie with Prema in 2017. After a debut season with Sauber in 2018, he was promoted to Ferrari and won the 2019 Belgian and Italian Grands Prix, ending a nine-year wait for a Ferrari victory at Monza.
Leclerc finished runner-up to Max Verstappen in 2022, a season in which he won three races, and in 2024 he became the first Monégasque driver in 93 years to win his home Grand Prix, adding victories at Monza and in Austin that year. Renowned for his one-lap pace, he began 2026 with eight Grand Prix wins and has been partnered by Lewis Hamilton since 2025.
